i have a question cf about cleaning my engine area
I just got a 1998 for xmas and what I needed to repair before state inspecion was the return hose from ps resivior to the pump. Well needles to say I took care of that but the four cans of brake cleaner I used to clean the area did not seem to do the trick. Any input would be appreciated

Simple Green cleaner works well as a degreaser! You dont want to use any thing on top of the intake manifold area that is excessively liquid or would need to be rinsed off with a water hose because, under the intake are TWO knock sensors. The sensors sit inside of a deep well. The rubber plug is nothing more than a dust/dirt shielss and they have been known to leak water and cause the knock sensors to fail.
Spraying off the lower half of the eng and the frames is fine.
