belt replacement today

Just back off on the tensioner to relieve pressure and remove the belt...
You need to remove the Drive belt to get to the ac belt... If you are replacing one , you should replace the other. When replacing the belts you should make sure the pulleys are all clean. sometimes oil, grime and sand gets wedged into the valleys. A toothbrush will work. Putting the new belt on requires that you move the tensioner to its full stroke, then route the belt, then relieve the torque and allow the tensioner to take up the slack.
