I personally have the Corsa Indy Pace with the Pro-Series tips and they are super in looks and sound. No resonance problems at any speed, especially at highway cruising. Others have commented on how nice they sound when I get on it at the Drags, Autocrosses, and when I'm driving around where ever!!
One of the best mods that I have done. Plus it was a easy mod taking only about 45 minutes start to finish.
If you think the Indies are quiet at idle.. listen to a stock corvette, then start your car..and listen .. there is a big difference.. at the low RPM and to have them sound that good.. the design of the indies and the fact that at 1200 rpm is 6th gear on the highway they sound so quiet in the cab...if they were loud at 700 rpm.. they would be too loud at cruising speed..its nice to do 75mph and have an intimate conversation ..
For owners that do not have an after market exhaust system you need to realize
the Corsa Indy system is a street legal system and is therefor not very loud. If
you want something really aggressive, you need to listen to several different systems.
The Corsa system is a great (street legal) replacement for the stock system with better
looking tips, NO resonance and some sound increase. The Indyd 100% cured the 70 mph
resonance I had with the stock system in 6th gear....but that was not the reason
I purchased the Indys.
After a few months of use, I am starting to like the sound.
If you want your Corsa Indy systems to sound loud, install a cold air intake and long tube headers and I will guarantee that most people will say that it is too loud at WOT.
We have the Corsa Indy system on both of our 2001 C5s and I am telling you that it is really really loud when you get on it with the cold air intake and long tube headers.
Normal driving sounds great, but the Corsa Indy system sounds almost like a Harley at WOT with the long tubes.
If you install the Corsa Indy system on a stock 2001-2002 C5, it will not be as loud as the 97-2000 becuase of the pre-cats. The long tubes eliminate the pre-cats and emits more air out to create that loud effect.
Overall, the Corsa Indy system is our choice for the C5.
I just don't think they are quiet on a stock C5 or on a modified C5.
Re: Corsa Pace Exhaust (L.A. Performance Division)
I agree, the system is loud, in a good way of course. I had the Corsa crossover pipe installed on Saturday with my Indy's and mellowed the sound considerably. Smoother sound and quieter around town. Still loud when you get on it.
