Default Electrical, battery? alternator? both?

Well first my car makes the awful squeek and chirp like crickets so I assume its the tensioner pulley. The squeeks only happen in humid weather though. Yet today when I started the car I got lots of codes, service TCS, etc... so then I assumed its either the battery or the alternator. The battery is a POS so I may just start there, just wanted some advice to what you all think it may be. Thanks!

Why do you think the battery is a POS?? Batteries can and will cause some very strange electrical issues.

Read your DTC codes and see what is set in the DIC. Here is a very good website for codes:

This is the absolute best C5 Code web site!!!

The sound effects are cool too!!

The noise that you hear could be the belt slipping on the alternator thus not allowing it to charge properly. Changing the alternator is the LAST thing you want to do on the C5. They are very pickey on what replacement one goes back in!!!

Thanks for the response, the reason I say the battery sucks is it really does not have enough CCA's. You can really tell on a cold morning I will try replacing the belt and maybe that will cause less slippage and better charging. Thanks again!
