I think LG is mistaken about the cost of Random Tech cats. In his post about the complaint with his street headers, he stated that the Random Tech cats cost $550. That seems strange because I've seen them listed at a lot of vendor sites for $400 +/- per pair. I'm sure LG can buy for a lower price than that. Everybody knows that the Random cats are the best and that's what should really go with all LG headers-- even the lower cost ones. Why buy premium headers and put low quality cats behind them?
Is there a point to this post? I'm reading, that your bashing one of the best vendors / tuners on this site for no reason. Am I correct??
By the way if you want the best get the LG's.

Goosh, I don't get locking this thread down! I don't see dfe1's comments as bashing LG. He is just stating an obsevation and an opinion, period! Why do you want to stop this kind of thread! Ffom someone that is thinking of a future header purchase I I found his information useful!
If any of you have read any of my LGM postings , You know that I just love my new system.
But..... to be honest I really dont like the cats either they look like sh@t, they dont match the rest of the system in terms of finish or weld quality sorry Lou As to how well they perform I dont know yet but if Lou says there good , its good enough for me , I'll just clean them up a bit with a brushed polish look and be done with it.

Until he actually bashes the vendor, let it go. We all know that LG makes THE BEST products for our cars, so even if the dude wants to vent a little he should be entitled.
I agree and I didn't take his original post as bashing but simply questioning a post. I have the LG's and I think they are the best. If he has a question, Lou is a stand up guy who knows he has a great product and won't mind at all addressing his question. Nothing to be afraid in that post in my opinion...

Lou answered and according to this poster, he's still not doing good enough. Sorry but one locked, thread is enough.

GO to this link to see what the cost of Random cats is.
this was the link to the site that my memory pulled the price from. I was $20 off. Sorry.
Like I said in the other post, we are selling a basic Cat with this system so we can keep the cost down. I am only charging $200 for a pair of Metal Substrait cats. the same company makes cats for other header companies as well, so it is an industry standard new technology Metal Matrix cat. At $200 for a pair of these Metal matrix cats, we are actually giving them away at cost just to offer these with our street series headers to keep the cost down. Plus we had them built special with the outlets to fit the Street series headers.
I am sorry that it is not polished but if we add to the product, the price will go up. And the idea with our Street series headers was to build a good header to match most headers on the market but keep the product within certain perameters to keep the costs down.
Our Street Series headers were designed to fill the gap between our PRO Series headers and shorties.
Hope this clears it up.
Thanks

My apologies to you 16Again, I had not read the other post at the time. My first take was that it smacked of censorship or at least not being able to ask a question but that everyone should just "go with the flow and don't ask questions". I knew Lou had a great product that has been proven over and over and that he was a stand up guy and would address any questions people had so why worry.
However, I also understand the other side of that. As a business owner myself, I know it takes years to build a good reputation and only minutes to destroy it and that one of the ways that destruction can come is through the spreading of "misinformation".

WHO cares that the cats don't match the surface finish of the Headers??????? How many times will you or anyone else for that matter ever see them again???? .....I remember my Randon Tech's to be very shiny and wth a sticker that promptly burnt off after 2 minutes of use......oh and they work great too!
