Default Vette Doctors/American racing headers installed

Vette doc and american racing headers just installed their new headers on my 2002 ls1
Very very very happy!!!! These headers rock. The car sounds mean!! when you get on it, its like a true muscle car.
here are the results

stock w/ blackwing air and borla exhaust
rwhp 322.6
w/ american racing headers
rwhp 351.4

torque
334
w/ american racing headers
358.8 and you feel it!!

My bro has a 2003 zo6, and after driving my car, I think i can beat him. The car runs great!!!
You can feel the difference.
Thank you Carmen and Dennis!!!
Carmen, i would like to do heads and cam one day. I will let you know!
John Lomangino

The power difference between his car and the Z06 is small enough that it'll come down to driver. We had a dyno day last weekend and there were some stock Z06s making as high as 369WHP, but I've also seen stock Z06s turning in the 350-355 range.

Bottom line is long tube headers in general work. Vette Doc's headers are VERY attractive for their ease of install. Having removed my LGMs five times in the last year, I can tell you it is a bit of a pain in the ****!

If I upgrade (And I likely will) there will be a set of these 1 7/8ths in my future.

True, but don't forget to factor in the weight difference.

The gearing isn't that significant, and neither is the 100# weight difference. When I was running my bolts ons only C5 at VIR, stock Z06s couldn't run away from my 335/353 WHP/Torque. As often as not, I was getting waived by to pass THEM!

Those numbers are close enough that it'll come down to driver/ tire combo. Z06s are cool and I may yet end up with one. But don't discount a mild modded C5.

I guess they shouldn't have even made a Z06...

Stupid question, but what about interior cabin noise at cruise with new headers?
I have a Z06 cam and corsa x-pipe and pro-tips, have not bought headers or high flow cats yet. Worried a little that car will be so loud just cruising down the road I would regret the change.
