Squeaky Front Right Brake - Please Help
I've taken it to GM and they replaced the brake pads. That seemed to work for about 500 miles, give or take. The the same thing. Front right brake only. The front left and both rears are fine.
GM then said, there is nothing they could do. I griped about spending 50k on car that squeaks, yadda yadda and they said they would talk to the GM engineers to find out if anything could be done. They then told me that it is a common thing on the vettes.
About a month later, GM said the engineers had some ceramic pads to try out that I could guinea pig and I said fine. I mean who wouldn't if you had to listen to that squeak all day.
They helped for the first 200 miles or so and then the same thing. Right front only, squeaking. I can't help but think there is something else wrong with the calibar or rotor or something. The pads clearly don't seem to be the problem, I mean the front left works just fine.
Has anyone else experienced this? I asked GM to replace the rotors, calibars and pads, but have not heard back yet. Should I even bother with them anymore or go have it done myself? Is it likely to even fix the problem? I'm not all that savvy with automechanics, so any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and if you require any further information to help diagnose, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you again,
Gurumagic
