Default ***QTP Electric Cutout Controller***

Well it looks like we made our even toys more fun to play with.

Introducing the Quick Time Electric Cutout Controller

• Controls up to 2 QTECs
• Calibrates each motor independently and synchronizes their position (open, closed, partial open)
• Automatic close at power up
• Digital status display shows door position
• Manual pushbutton operation for open, close, or partial open
• User configurable partial open position
• Automatically open or close by grounding or not grounding the trigger wire (for use with engine management system)
• Short circuit protection on motor drive electronics
• Fault detection and reporting

Some pics

Here is a small video of it in action. Nothing special the video.
http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/...Controller.wmv

Now this is a working prototype and production will be running shortly.

This will be an option for our product but hooks up to existing QTECs. Just replaces the toggle switch.

Price will be around $100.00.

What do you guys think?

very nice!

I've got a plan, but I need a favor. Can you send me a diagram that show's the actual size of the QTEC's? I'm going to try to squeeze them in a very tight place and I'm not sure if it'll work. If it does, I'll take 2 cutouts and the controler

Jesselukeboyer@hotmail.com, if you would.

Very cool! That is very close to what I'm building! Your building it with remote display and control capabilities, right? RS232 interface for true compatibility to anything? If so I will take one and save myself a lot of work!

Good work guys!

WHich forum vendor told this to you. The unit doesnt leak. If it did we would not have 10,000 units out there with happy customers

Barry,

I don't see the controller listed on the website - is it available yet?

Also, is there any special incentive pricing you can offer forum members who would be buying the controller and a set of cutouts at the same time? Thanks!

Is it possible to configure the cutouts to where they are normally open and applying power to the motor would close them?

Thanks

Sounds great. Any idea on a timeframe? I want to order my cutouts, but will likely be holding off until this controller is finished. Just looking to get an idea on how long I'll have to wait. Thanks.

I was all pumped about two weeks and ready to order (2) QTP cut-outs for my 00 FRC. Then I remembered how close to the front flange my cats were on my Kooks X-pipe and figured there was no way I would get those QTP cut-outs to fit up there. Was I wrong? I still got some money burning a small hole in my pocket...tell me I'm wrong, I dare you. I want more noise!!!!

Thanks,
Stephen

The cutouts would go towards the back of the car by the tranny.

We might come up with something when the controller is ready.

Do cutouts normally go before cats? That is between the collector and the catalytics or after the cats?
thanks
