I'm saying the wire of the rear sensor physically screwed into the left pipe runs up along the right side of the tunnel, and connects on the right side of the engine.
The wires for the sensor physically screwed into the right pipe euns up the left side of the tunnel, and connects to the harness on the left side of the engine.
Just like in the pic above.
Thank you very much thats what I wanted to know So they do cross then? Just kidding just kidding Now was that so hard.
OK whats the difference if you have headers or not,All I ask if the Rear O2 sensors cross or not.I'm running all 4 sensors.
if you are using 4 sensors there is no difference,it goes back like stock.but i was assuming you were talking stock and assumption is the mother of all f@#kup's.it's like going to the doctor and he gives you pennicillian, but you didn't tell him you're allergic to it.you could of been using only 2 sensors and moving the rears up front and i would be telling you the wrong info[it's different if you moved the rears into the collectors].no biggy you'll love the headers!

I'm looking at the 04 C5 shop service manual. The back ones cross.
btw, I recently installed LG street series headers and labeled all O2 sensor wires. This is the way they go!
I got this straight from Mike Norris when I had removed my H pipe but didnt' pay any attention as to which harness went where.
The rears cross over.
But it doesn't really matter since they're only go/no-go in operation; and not used for AFR tuning.
If you connect them up backwards - nothing happens EXCEPT that if one goes bad, the failure code will point to the wrong side.
They do cross but as Mike said it don't really matter other than codes. The proof of this is the fact that O2 simulators work and keep the computer happy. As I understand it the only thing the computer does is make sure the rear O2 are not doing the exact same thing the front is doing, if they are your cat is bad and a code will be set. If installed left to left then even if a cat went bad the computer would probably never see it since it would be comparing the inlet of one cat to the outlet of another.
