Does anyone have experience with this little electronic thing called shiftplus? Itīs designed to shorten the times between shifting. Is it worth to buy?
Move to products and you will find it. A dealer here in Germany sells. But before I ask him I wanted to hear your opinion, which is much more worth for me than his :D
Re: Shiftplus for A4, anyone experience? (C5 Frederik)
I'm not totally sure, but I think this won't work on C5s after 98, for the same reason the TransGo large kit isn't recommended. The torque management on the engine doesn't work too well with this, is what I think I've heard.
It sounds like the finial results is like the Powerloader II, but does it a different way. Would be interesting to see if it works with Powerloader II to allow a racing and city driving mode.
I don't know the exact details but I remember someone trying this out and it was garbage. They sent it back. I don't think it works like a shift kit, it just increases line pressure to make the shifts feel firmer. Even though they feel firmer they are not any faster...
Re: Shiftplus for A4, anyone experience? (C5 Frederik)
I put one on one of my T/A's. I made it about 5 or 6 blocks before my tranny went out. I lost 2nd, OD, and reverse. My car shifted great after I threw that thing in the trash and bought a new transmission. I don't recommend it.
