I'm in the process of doing that very thing (replacing the stock shocks with ZO6 shocks). As you may know the F45 shocks have a sensor on them and also a position sensor near the shock.

I was told by several folks that in order to keep from throwing codes when you use non-F45 shocks that you have to put "simulators" on each of the wires that would have normally connected to the shocks and the position sensors. I just received mine from L.A.P.D. they are about 200 bucks. Very easy to install. That supposedly solves the issue of throwing codes. I will know soon.

Someone else may have other experiences. . .

You will need to run simulators or have it tuned out of the BCM using the GM Tech II tool. If you don't you will get codes and DIC messages! I think it puts you in a limited speed mode also (PCM limits vehicle speed to 80 MPH or less.

So, it would be wise to do one of the above solutions.

Disconnect the box and turn it off in the tech 2 and you will ready to go over 80MPH

I like the F-45 . its a soft ride when cruising, and stiffens when on performance. I did add the Z06 sway bar and soon Abs of Steel

I guess that helps my side to side, but not my up and down ride
