I recently had my car on a Dynapack dyno. Someone told me there is a difference between the Dynapack and other roller dynos. Is this true? If so, any idea how much the differences might be?
John
All dynos are different, even within the same make, and more importantly, all dyno operators are different.
A dyno is a good comparison tool, for checking mods made to the vehicle. Also, when 2 vehicles are tested on the same dyno by the same operator, valid comparisons can be made. It gets more schetchy as you go from operator to operator and dyno to dyno.
This is especially true when you are looking at items that give smaller gains to performance, such as intakes or exhaust. (taken individually).
