Default Dyno Differences?

I recently had my car on a Dynapack dyno. Someone told me there is a difference between the Dynapack and other roller dynos. Is this true? If so, any idea how much the differences might be?

All dynos are different, even within the same make, and more importantly, all dyno operators are different.

A dyno is a good comparison tool, for checking mods made to the vehicle. Also, when 2 vehicles are tested on the same dyno by the same operator, valid comparisons can be made. It gets more schetchy as you go from operator to operator and dyno to dyno.

This is especially true when you are looking at items that give smaller gains to performance, such as intakes or exhaust. (taken individually).

Well for refernce, let me give you this example from yesterday:

My z06 is stock other than a 125 dry shot. I have an 11.7 sec @ 126mph timeslip from 4 weeks ago.

When tested on a Dyno Dynamics yesterday my car put down 265 whp without nitrous and 315 on nitrous

So yes some dynos read much lower than other ones. For refence my Supra put down 620 on this same dyno and would put down 720+ on a dynojet.

You must have been using the front wheels to get those numbers.
