This is in my FRC and I was adding a power antenna to the car. This hook-up was tucked away right above the BCM underneath the pass. floor board... I seen on fixedroofcoupe.com that you can use this to power the antenna when the car is turned on and off. BUUT there is NO power going to this adapter.
I check the Radio/Ant fuse and its perfectly fine.. I'm just not sure why this hook-up wouldn't be getting any power.
The Black is for negative, orange is the constant, and the yellow is the "on/off" wire for the antenna.
I tested the antenna with a battery and it works fine.. Tested the hook-up in the car and its dead.
Just a guess here, but if those wires weren't being used before than they wouldn't already have a fuse in the box for them. I would be looking at putting a fuse in any empty spots in the box and then testing the wires to see which fuse controls them. Good luck, Dan
That connector looks like the accessory power leads and the two hot wires should be protected by a fuse. On my 02, that fuse is shown in the owners manual as "#11-Accessory Power" and it's located in the instrument panel fuse block.
The Accessory leads are supposed to handle up to 10A loads so either wire could have been overloaded at some point and the fuse blew.
Your 00 FRC may have a different fuse numbering arrangement so check your owner's manual for the loctation of that fuse.
most use this wire harness for the the V1's, this link doesn't give the fuse #, but might try a thread looking for V1 owners that have used this pwr source, they would know the fuse
Theres more than one fuse. When I get home I will find out what fuse it is. There is a fuse for the HOT at all times wire and one for the ACC hot wire.
The yellow wire (HOT in ACC on) is Fuse# 11 (20 amps )(ASRY/OFF) in the passengers foot well.
The other wire ORANGE (HOT all times) is the same circuit as the cigar lighter and is powered by Fuse# 7 (20 amp) (C/LTR) and is also in the passengers foot well.
This info is out of my 98 service manual. It should be the same! Please let me know if it isnt!!
