Has anyone made custom length spark plug wires for the LS1? Traditional SBC's are a piece of cake and I am sure the LS1 is the same with the proper kit. Can anyone point me to the right kit???
Phil
I was thinking the same thing. Back in the '60's I'd buy a roll of Packard 440 ignition wire and a pack of ends and make my own. Better fit and better construction. Hope someone knows the answer.
I'm . This would save a LOT of money if you put different height valve covers on, used spacers, etc. Then we wouldn't have to buy thos overpriced coil relocation kits.
I go back to the 60's also when you could build your own plug wires by purchasing a bulk roll of wire and then install your own ends. The problem with the HEI type wires used since the late 70's and upgraded is the fine carbon fibre type wire can't be probed like the old style wires for changing ends and modifying. They may even use something more exotic than carbon fibre now. We do carry and sell a lot of the GM Performance wires. They are about 1/2 the price of the OE wires as we sell them for 49.95 . They are torch red with the charcoal boots and actually OHM out with less resistance than the OE wires.
