yea,i'm pretty sure he's right.one of the differences between the blocks is the way it ventilated[crankcase ventilation].it helped eliminate alot of the oil burning,though i think the internals may be different[rods/pistons/etc],i know the cam/heads/valves are different.
/Yep, which means for $700 or so not including labor you can have the exact engine the C5 Z06 has Just get some gently used #243 casting heads and Z06 cam from somebody that went with aftermarket heads/cam and you'll make ~345rwhp and it'll idle like it's stock. Lol well basically because It will be. Just stock for a Z06
