HOw are you guys launching the car at the track on a 6spd. I got a rodney built tranny, built rear, heavy duty output shafts, tranny girdle and spec 5 clutch. Are you guys reving to 4-5k and dumping it, or are you guys slipping the clutch any. I am goin to run CCW drags when I go again in the summer, if not them then BFG drag radials.
The Drag Racing section will offer a lot of good help as well.
I am making 100 less ponies than you running NA, so I'm not the best person to help you with NOS. I don't know how hard that stuff hits, or if you have it set to spray in 2nd+.
But I wouldn't consider ANY drag radial with that kind of power. The BFG's are a lot stickier than the Nitto drags, but even when I was cam only, drag radials went up in smoke at any launch over 3k.
I am using the MT ET radials now and launching at 5k with 18 psi. while slipping the clutch very slightly as the Cartek clutch has some slip to it already which seems to work nicely to protect driveline components.
I'm sure others will chime in with NOS experience.

Phil, what gear are you runnin. I was thinking on a 4.10 but I dunno where that will put my in gearing as I run through the traps.
It's a sight to see him fogging it right on the line and launch at high rpm. Your setup is very close to his old one. I wouldn't dream of doing that on DRs, definately go with the drag pack. He had(still has I think) 3.90s on that car.

Good Luck!
Hopefully ordering the CCW soon unless I can find a decent used one.
