Light problem... headlights won't go down
Any ideas? Never had this problem before. All of the lights work, they just won't close.
Help!
Thanks
I'm having the same problem. just replaced turn signal bulbs (the exact some kind that came out and they work)... and now the headlights wont go down.
any thoughts?
will they stay up if my fog light bulbs are burnt out?

When changing the turn signal bulbs one had broken glass. In the process of pulling it out, the burnt out filament briefly shorted out... blew the fuse on the circuit (not for the drl or turn signals oddly enough, those both worked after install, but for the tail lights)... making the headlight module think there was bulb out and keeping them up.
Replace the tail light fuse (located in the passenger footwell) and bingo... headlights go down. Tail lights AND fog lights work (they appear to be on the same fuse).
sooooooooo... what would have stopped this? Bringing the headlights up and then disconnecting the battery before changing the turn signals. No juice, no short, no burnt out fuse.

- One for the DRL/Turn Signal
- One for the Parking Light
It seems the short happened in the Parking Lights circuit, which is shared with the Tail Lights, under Fuse 6 in the passenger's foot well fuse block.
Knowing how that was affecting the opening and closing of the headlights would be very interesting...
On the other hand, that blown fuse should not have affected the Fog Lights. These are protected by Fuse 6 in the under hood fuse block
