I'm betting it's a Spec clutch. I have a Spec and it does the exact same thing (I've head from others that theirs does it as well). Mostly when it's cold...but still occasionally when it's warmed up. Between the squeeling clutch and the squeeking-*** suspension, I'm embarrased to drive the car in public.
My girlfriend asked the other day..."How come your car makes so many horrible noises? I thought the Z06 was supposed to be a high-end car?....this thing sounds like a piece of ****." (I'm inclined to agree sometimes)
I could not have said it better! BOTH PARAGRAPHS
My Spec stage IV with over 50k miles on it is apparently one tough motha! But it still lets out the little pig squeal from time to time, usually when cold and in first gear. Its not nearly as bad as it was a few years/few 40+k miles ago though.
Again I ask ,who makes a good clutch & aluminum flywheel for our LSX engines? I had a SPEC and returned it because it was out of balance.
Now I have a Textralia and it sucks big time. I must have spent $3500 in clutches & flywheels and I have junk.
I'm having good luck with my RPS single disk clutch - no unusual noises or chatter and holds extremely well. My 2nd choice would be the McLeod Twin Disk clutch.

Do you have an aluminum flywheel with your RPS clutch?
My SPEC IV has definetly held together well, but it isnt even close to a stock clutch in the way it drives.
A few friends of mine say the CARTEK clutch is the best they have found and they have been through several different brands(including the not so popular SPEC with the same results you had).
