Hello everyone, I have spark and fuel, but the car just doesn't seem to want to start. It has code po452 HC and the car was hit in the rear so the fuel tank pressure sensor is gone. Could this be the cause? It will try to fire but just won't keep running. Any help would be appreciated. Its a 99 FRC. Thanks
There may be an inertia switch to cut power to the fuel pump in a collision. Check if the pump is running, if not find out if there is a switch and check it. By the way po452 indicates a fuel tank pressure circuit problem.
P0452 is Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Circuit LOW VOLTAGE. Check the fuses in the under hood electrical center Fuse# 13 (20 amp) and the fuel pump relay Relay#35.
I don't know if there is an inertia switch. Never seen one in the book.
The fuel pump is priming and running. It might be a problem with the check valve. It doesn't seem to be holding fuel pressure.
the check valve will not keep it from running.once fuel is too the rail,as long as you have enough pressure and volume it should run.how much pressure do you have.a bad check valve will cause a long crank on start up.
