Default ? Regarding intake manifold.

A friend of mine recently picked up a slightly modded '99 C5. He asked me if there is any way to tell whether or not the intake manifold in his car is an LS1 or LS6 variety just by looking at it. The previous owner said it was changed but he is trying to verify this. I don't know what to look for. Thanks

Default Ck part #

I just looked at my LS-6 intake and the part # is on the drivers side of engine. My part # is 12573572.I looked at my LS-1 intake and could not see the # on it.You could try just looking for the same # as I have.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm going to check it.

Right on. The number was as plain as day once I removed the cover.
