If it works and is free of cracks and leaks, then just keep it. But for a piece of mind, change it to a AGM or a Excide Orbital, Optima type of battery. NO battery is leak proof, NO BATTERY
I just had the battery cracking nightmare on my 99. The original Delco battery leaked everywhere and it was a huge mess to clean up. Check my other post for the whole story. I would change to a new battery if I were you -- I wish I had done it after first hearing of the battery cracking problem on these forums.

I have had the car for 2 years...its a 99 and for all I know the battery could be the original. I never replaced it.
If the dealership checks it out as OK...should I just keep it or do I really need to consider getting a new one?
