Good day,
Spent about an hour trying to force the air bridge to the dang box and have the cut on my thumb to prove it - how does it go back together?
The middle rubber piece is throwing me for a loop.
The flat side of the rubber coupler goes to the airbridge, it needs to to stretched slightly to fit ,the clamp has an oblong and a circular hole that align on the rubber couplers alignment ****[for want of another word]Probably easier to preassemble off the car in the comfort of your garage or in my case my living room[i'm not married anymore]then install in the car. Some lube will help also. There is a stop molded into the airbridge which also aligns with the rubber coupler. On the air box end is another clamp and rubber piece, its one of those weird *** clamps that it takes a vice grips and flat screw driver or some special tool to loosen its grip, w/o loosening that clamp the maf will not easily slide into place. sounds like that is your problem. I never reassembled mine but I remember having troubles getting the Maf separated from the airbox. you may find replacing that clamp with one that tightens or loosens with a screw driver will help solve your problem...
i was successful in putting hte rubber ring on the airbridge with the '*****', but the connection to the airbox was the issue.
The mouth kept collapsing leaving an opening for air to sneak in.
Not sure if i am describing it very effectively.
