Just got my Raptor shift light in the mail. According to their directions, I need to access the PCM under my passenger wheel well and tap into green connector c2 pin # 10, white wire.
Has anyone done this before? Is there an easier place to get a tach signal for the shift light? If not, can I get in there with the car on ramps or am I going to have to jack the car up and remove the front right tire?
I've got the other wires covered, just need the tach input.

definitely and easier spot available...
it's under the dash on the driver side. there's a big bundle of wires with 3 white (fairly sure that's the color) wires. one of those is the one you need....
i don't remember any more details as i did this a while back.
do a search on the topic and you'll probably find some writeups. i stuck a small straight pin in the white wires one by one (got it on second try) to probe for the correct wire and then just used a wire tap.

now that has been the big problem for me. i wanted it up in the corner of the a-pillar and tried double-sided tape of various types, and industrial strength 3m velcro (industrial strength adhesive) and it never lasts. the car gets too hot inside and the adhesive turns to mush letting the light eventually dangle from it's cord . the easiest and most secure way, of course, would be to just screw into the a-pillar cover but i didn't want to do that.
good luck!
Ok. Installed it tonight. What an EASY install. It took me longer to figure out where I wanted the shift light than it did to actually install it! (I put it about eye level on the A-Pillar...1 screw and you're done!)
Works great and looks cool too.
Thanks for all the good info. If I would have pulled a tire and then found out about this I would have been pi$$ed!
I'm in the middle of intalling a dyno tech wideband and am trying to tap into the tach signal at the PCM (already ran the wires). But I don't have a 'green' harness. Mine are red and blue. The blue has 3 gray wires, but I can't find a white one. The red has a bunch of white wires. Which one do I go to???? Help please.
On the red harness, look at the end of the connector directly with the lock tabs facing up. You should see faint markings at the corners of the connectors. Look for the little "1" on the lower left corner of the connector that will be next to pin no. 1. Count ten over on the bottom row. That is pin no. 10 which should be the white tach signal wire.
Great thread on the raptor hook up, will not wait any longer to get one, Any expert advice on which of the four LED colors is the most visible from the corner of your eye and where to get the best price?.

Nice thread on hooking up the raptor, now I will order mine, What color LED did you choose? and did you choose it based on visiblity or color match. Also where did you order from.
Ditto here on the Blue/Black combo. It is VERY bright with the cover off. I got the Black tube to match the interior and I'm a sucker for Blue so that's why I got that color.
Their website has alot of info on the different colors.
It's a great setup, just take your time with the install. I took the advice in one of the links above and tapped into the pink wire in the same harness for ignition power. Grounded it right to one of the screws that holds the bottom dashpad in and it was done.
