Default Headlight Help Asap Please!!!

So the past two months my passenger side headlight has been grinding for about 5 seconds after turning them off. No problem, know thats the motor.

Than this past month the drivers side headlight(when turned off) drops down and then pops back up about halfway and stays. I was having to manually lowere the headlight myself every night.

So i finally decide to work on them. I buy the brass gear from rodneys site. I turned the headlights on, shut the car off, and disconnected the battery. Took the passenger headlight assembly out, unbolted the motor, took out the cheap stock plastic gear(which had the teeth chipped to hell and back). Anyways, installed the new gear. Reassembled everything. Hooked the battery back up and the headlights turn on fine but wont go down.

I have to manually lower them and raise them now. No grinding anymore, no headlight popping up and down anymore. Easy, because neither motor is working now. Neither one is even doing anything. This doesnt make sense since I didnt even mess with the drivers side one so why both motors completely unresponsive? I checked most of the fuses, they looked alright. What could possibly have happened??!? please anyone any help asap and I would owe you so bad. Thank you
Kyle

ok...thats a new one on me....I was gonna say the harnesses were unplugged but then the lights wouldn't operate...at this point I would say find out which fuse controls the headlight actuator and check it....there really is nothing else.

good luck and let us know what happens

After you check that, you're going to need to test for power coming threw your harness going to the motor for your headlights. If you don't have power in a line when you go to shut the motor down then you know it's before the headlights and probably the accuator. If you do get power when you switch them off then you know it's in the motor. I've never seen any threads with a person that had this problem!! Good Luck!! Dan

i'm assuming you didn't touch the passengers side and only took out the drivers side.try cycling the headlamps on and off a couple of times.also check for faults.
