lt4bud, thanks for all your help on this matter. i am waiting to see what rottie comes up with as far as heads we might use a ls6 or a afr. but for cost we were thinking of using the ls1 head but that means giving up some power. once again thank you for your help

Looks like you and I are after the same thing, I also talked to Rottie last night about a H/C package. I already have a set of 243 heads and a Z06 intake manifold, waiting to see what Rottie recommends for a cam.

Hey Stunna,

I wanted the same thing out of my Heads & Cam package. I wanted the vette to remain very streetable, reliable and comfortable. I spoke to Chris and Doug at ECS and went with a 224/230 Cam with AFR heads. Like Wicked Weasel said, I ended up with 407 rwhp and got everything that I wanted out of it. There's no stalling, no shaking, no surging, just a nice low rumble at idle and a nice lopey sound when you listen to the exhaust. The difference in power is like night and day, I was spinning my runflats at half throttle till I got new rubber on there. Still, its still very comfortable in stop and go traffic and when cruising on the highway. I love it!!

i am defeniyley going to go with afr 205cc. my question is why port the oil pump and did you port your stock throttlle body. i like the cam suggestion. i was also thinking of using a a evac pump for the oil. also what do think about these profiles 226/226 or 232/230 with .58/.58 lift and a 110-112 lsa

These are some monster heads, great numbers and great heads but will cost you. I haven't seen any for less than $2300.00 if anyone has let me know I'm thinking of going this route.

2000 fuel injectors are 26 lbs
newer injectors are 28 98 injectors are 28 We with 99 and 2000 are 26lbs
I would get svo 30 's so you have a little room
28 might be ok but it all depends on the HP you want to make.
That's engine HP
Some vendors have a calculator to figure the size at 80% duty cycle
Maybe racetronics

Rather than go it alone and choosing your mods a-la-carte, discuss your power & streetability goals with a reputable tuner and let them suggest the right package for you.

I hope he doesn't mind me answering for him. IIRC, he has over 400rwhp from his package, and it's a few years old now.
