I did a search and found info that says get the oil life reading up and hold for 2 seconds. I do that and it changes to underscores (instead of numbers, it looks like __% ) but then it just goes back to the same old percent again.

With the key turned on, engine off, press and hold the reset. There is another way too, involving pressing the gas pedal all the way down 2 or 3 times or something but I don't remember the particulars. HTH
with the key in the on position, press the accellerator pedal to wide open throttle 4 times, while displaying the oil life remaining - or quite simply, hold the reset button until you see it go back to 100% while viewing the oil life remaining
Thanks guys. Got it last night while fiddling with it. What worked for me was: engine running, did the reset, then shut it off and restarted it! Bingo!
