if all the fuses/circuit breakers are all ok,make sure the bcm is not soaked.all your inputs have to go through the bcm.

Easy fix....this is a CLASSIC corvette problem. take the door panel off and simply tap the window motor with a small ball pean hammer. What happens is that the motor "siezes up" and need a slight tap to break loose.

Default Probably the regulator

If both windows don't work it is probably the regulator that is bad. The regulator is the black box in the drivers side door. Part # for my 1998 coupe was 10344131 and it cost $279.54 at my dealers. Retail price is $327.87. It also controls both side door locks,
My dealer said there was no way to check it other then to replace it. What ever happened to good old crank up windows?

i doubt both door control modules would go bad at the same time[possible, but unlikely].dcm's are a common problem, but like i said for both to go bad at the same time,i doubt it.

There's probably less than .001% chance you may be experiencing the same problem I just had, but you might save yourself a lot of money if you do the following: Pull the door panel off and check the wiring harness for spots where the insulation may have been rubbed off...

My passenger door window and door lock quite working, checked the fuses (they were good), so off to the local dealer..

They discovered that the window wiring harness insulation had become "chaffed", exposing bare wire, which caused the problem.

They wrapped the exposed wire in HIGH SPEED CORVETTE ELECTRICAL TAPE , secured it from moving anymore and charged me $275.00

I wonder if regular old black electrical would have done as good a job???

Good luck with your problem....

Is the battery is fully charged? If the car has been sitting for a month in cold weather, it may be low. If there's enough juice to start the car, that's probably not the problem, but you never said if you tried starting it.

Before I spent any money for a new regulator,I would at least check this. The BCM could have gotten wet in the past, and now has corroded to the point that things aren't working. Make sure you disconnect the battery before you remove the connectors from the BCM. If it's not the problem, it didn't cost you anything to check, and you can go from there. That's better than spending $300 for a regulator only to find out it didn't fix the problem.
