Default Corsa touring vs stock titanium

I just upgraded from my 2003 black coupe automatic to a mint 2002 ZO6. I have a magnaflow x-pipe and corsa touring on the 2003, would it be beneficial to swap out the exhaust to the Z. I like the sound of the Z but would I have any real horsepower gain. Also, the corsa is probably much heavier.

The ZO6 compared to my 03 auto 2.73 is a beast. It is a much more exciting car to drive. Traction is a problem going into 3rd with the original tires, its hard to believe the car is stock. I can't see much mods in my future until I cure the stock traction problems.

Keep the Z06 exhaust. I doubt if you would see any change at all, that exhaust flows well, and is light! I just swapped out my stock exhaust for a set of Z06, and it's the perfect setup for me. Plus, if I get to go to LG LTs later this year, I won't have to worry about things getting too loud.

Gotta love the Z06!

Have a good one,
Mike

Changing to any exhaust system, other than a Corsa Competition TI type of exhaust, from the Z06 will not result an any hp gain. The difference will be in loudness and many change exhaust systems just for that.

The Z Ti exhaust is the best kept secret in exhaust systems. $ for $, pound for pound, you can't beat it .

The Z06 Ti exhaust is a great system. You can generallly find them used for $400-$500 (of course already have them ). The Corsa Ti system is a little lighter since the entire system is Ti whereas the Z06 only has the actual mufflers and back made of Ti. The long pipes are still just steel. But the Corsa Ti system is like $1,500. And only comes in dual pipes not Quad (which I think fills up that space much better).

On a stock setup I doubt you would see any noticable performance increase, other than sound, if you went with an aftermarket cat-back.

In fact, unless you're doing major mods (like more cubes) the Z06 Ti should work great.

I like how the Z's titanium system sounds. I would leave it stock. Either way though I am sure it will sound good.

I agree, stay with the stock TI system.

I believe I will keep the titanium exhaust. I may have some corsa tourings up for sale here in a few days.
