Try switching to non-runflats first. You may not even need an alignment. I have two sets of wheels for my car, one for the winter that have non-runflat snow tires, and one set for the summer with runflats. I can't believe how much better it tracks with the winter wheels. It's a completely different car - I can take my hand off the steering wheel on straight rodes and it tracks straight for a long distance. But with my summer wheels with runflats, I can't take my hand off the wheel for a second - even on the same straight rode. It trys to dart left or rigtht over the slightest bump. I hate runflats! I've heard that the spare for the new GTO fits the C5 front and back and you only have to drill out the center hole slightly. So if you had room to carry one of these and a small jack. But you also need room for the wheel and tire that has gone flat. There's probably room enough in a coupe, but not a FRC or vert.

What you are experiencing is called tramlining also called nibble (per Road & Track automotive dictionary). It occurs on cars with wide tires traveling on uneven pavement. It gets worse as the tires wear.
I also have this problem on my Vette with my non-runflat Pirelli's. Not all the time, just on uneven pavement.
It's even worse in my '88 IROC-Z.
Just the price of riding on big tires.
