Default Sequential Transmission

Ive decided to do some research on esquential transmissions. I could only find one company that makes them for the viper. Now a tranny like that could definately improve your times enormously. It shift alot faster then any manual tranny. You only use the clutch to put the car in neutral first gear or reverse , which is better than an auto tranny. All other gears are just a click of a lever with no need for clutch. Only problem i can see with these trannys is the fact that they handle up to 450-500 ponies which is not enough for a modded snake, and they cost about 14k. 14 grand is a lotta money for the mod, heck id rather slap in a supercharger on my car.
Those tranys are great im sure they will definately give you a bike feel or a race car feel and help you out at the track. Where can we get them with a reasonable price tag??? I know this is about a viper, but the corvette community is quiet large and this type of tranny should also work on vettes. So any ideas??

Another member researched this possibility about a year ago. There is a company in the UK that can do this, but the cost was veeeeeeeeery high. Something in the neighborhood of 20,000, but don't quote me. It could have been more. Anyway, I agree with you, this would be an awesome feature, but I doubt if we will see anything that compares to the F1 system in the showroom Ferrari...

I remember that post. I think there were 2 places at the time that had transmissions. One was around 20k and the other close to 30k just for the tranny. No one was sure if it would fit in the available space. And certainly there would be substantial costs on installing something like that.

But, 14k sounds like a bargain compared to 20 or 30k.
