Default Spark Plugs

Off topic but help will apply to my 99 C5 with 25 k miles as well.

My daughter's car is a 1998 Z24 with the 2.4 liter DOHC 4. It has 140 k, km (85 k miles) on it and I haven't changed plugs since it was new. Any advice before I put the wrench on the old plugs? Should I buy anything other than AC plugs?

make sure the cylinder head is cold.with 85k on the car there is a good chance the threads may be carboned up causing the plugs to get stuck[tighten up]as you are taking them out.if this happens DO NOT try to keep removing them, you can strip the plug holes or break the plug in the head[neither are good].if it stops turning, screw it back in,then back it back out until it stops again, then screw it back in,etc, etc, until it comes out.on the new plugs, use a little anti-seize on the threads to keep the plugs from seizing in the head.this also applies to the vette.

Thanks, that makes total sense and is a reminder of good practice. Any anti-seize or should I chose a special product?

Thanks again. Think AC plugs as good as any for both cars?
