The Michelin pilot sports have shown me what this car is really made of. The difference was noticeable as I was backing out of discount tire after the install.
After killing a GY runflat at 2AM, 40 miles from nowhere, I decided to stay with runflats, I choose Firestones, as I had them on my 96, let me say, if you like the idea of runflats, but do not like the GY's try these, WOW!.

2 Votes for Firestone Wilderness All Terrains. Must be a rather odd looking C5!! LOL I can here the owner now. I love the way My Firestone Tires make loud popping noises and sometimes the tires go faster than the CAR! :jester :clown :bs
THe goodyear runcrap's on my 98 have 23,000 miles and look to be in good shape, the pressure in them is correct but driving down the road they make more noise than my BFG allterrains on my Tahoe! :mad my father even made the comment "when michelin comes out with a runflat for that car I'll buy a set that day, these are loud as poopie!" :smash: :smash: :smash:
My original GoodYears also have 23K miles and they are louder than a Monster Truck! When I get new tires, they won't be GoodYears! I'm leaning toward Michelin since I'm not warm and fuzzy about Firestone after the Wilderness AT debacle.
I've had my Michelin Pilot Sports, Run Flat version, (XGT Z4-ZP) on for about 6 weeks now. To quote the manager of Butler Tire, Marietta, Ga location- "Oh man, these Michelins are da' bomb."
These tires are really running well. I had the same opinion about the Firestones. I just don't "trust" the company's products right now.
Bring your checkbook if you want Michelins, they're not cheap.
