gas smell from braided lines.......
The garage smells like gas. I can put my nose up to the braided lines and they smell like gas.......
No leaks, Checked all lines and fittings..
This really is really annoying..................please let me know if anyone has ever heard of this .....and is there a fix?

Steel-braided synthetic or plain rubber hose from Earls, Aeroquip or Russel *will* permiate fuel vapors, hence the cheaper cost overall compared to other types of hoses.
However, stainless-steel braided Teflon hose will *not* permiate fuel vapors like rubber or synthetic rubber hose does. We use SS-braided Teflon hose on all our upgraded fuel systems for our high horsepower supercharged Corvette applications here and after 1 to 2 years, none of the cars smell like fuel vapors at all due to the impervious nature of Teflon.
SS-braided Teflon hose and their respective fittings are approx. twice as costly as other fitting/hose types however, so be prepared for that considerable additional expense.
