Have a great day,

Now I have to wonder, seeing as I'm in Canada, do I just ignore this and leave my CLB in place? I would like to have my locking steering wheel working, but not at the risk of having it stick in the locked position one day. The car is a 6 speed and they leave the locking ring in place in Canada. What to do, what to do!!

I have a serious question I hope you can answer Ken -
Are they going to reprogram my US (non-export) MN6 car again? I got tired of the nag letters so I had the first recall (reprogramming only) done. At the time, I already had a CLB installed but the dealer didn't bother with it, and I've had no problems with my CLB at all.
Since then I've installed Heads & Cam and obviously a new program. So I certainly don't want my program overwritten!
It appears to me from the linked PDF that no reprogramming is required for US cars that already have the first recall (programming only) done. But I don't want to be the guinea pig for that! Am I correct in this assumption?
My CLB is working fine, so I hate to mess with it if I don't have to, but I do get tired of getting the letters threatening to take my first born if I don't get the recall done.
Appreciate your help on the board Ken!
Joe
p.s. I wish all dealers were like you, or I was closer to you, apparently you care about your customers!
I will do a aftermarket clb

In fact, I am actually getting my dyno tuning redone for free this morning! I had a new ECM installed and then that one died, and then right after that the column lock problem showed up and I had the recall done again (the first dealer who supposedly did the recall in Jan 2004 on my car actually did nothing at all!).
So the tuner told me he preferred to just start my tuning from scratch again, at no charge!
I will do a aftermarket clbKen, as always, our hat is off to you for your willingness to help us out and keep us apprised.

And just who do you think built your special car ?
Just like you and I do when we do our modifications. Sure there is a differant skill level for every wrench turner, but im thinking the wrench turner in the factory, is about the same skill set as the local.
