(Its a Glass Targa top)....Less than a year ago I had the Dealer install new weatherstripping and they adjusted the doors...end result was that it didn't leak for them.
Recently, when it rains...I get some serious leaking...one time the seat was puddled.
Could the problem be that I have a glass targa top and the "elements" warp the top and the black top would be a better choice? Or any suggestions?
Thanks
The first thing you need to do is find out where the leak is coming from.
You say the top, But specificaly where. Weatherstip to weather strip or weather strip to glass? Anything can be fixed. But first you need to know what needs to be fixed. Some times a weather strip to weather strip issue is just dirt. Cleaning an applying some silcone grease can cure this issue. If it's a glass to weather strip issue, there are glass in and out adjustments.

1999 Vette, do a search on the forum for the weatherstripping repair. It seems that there is a leak that develops between the weatherstrip and your blowout clip due to a lack of sealant from the factory. I have the same exact drip on my drivers side that causes the seat to puddle up in havy rain (when the car is sitting, not moving). I found some TSB on this site (referred to another site, Vette Doctors or something) that shows how to remove and reseal your blowout clip.

I have the same problem. Did you perform the fix and was it difficult?

don't know where you live but here in central PA there's a company that the local dealerships use called "Water Doctors". I got a new glass top for our 99 coupe last year and the dealership couldn't get it to stop leaking so they called in this company and bingo it was fixed.
Ask around some of the local car dealerships and see if any of their body shops have someone like that.
Try closing the windows turn the heater or ac full blast close car spray mixture of dish soap and water all over there will be bubbles forming where your leak is at. Then decide what to do to fix the problem. This way you dont chase your tail.
