Parking Brake Shoe Disaster
Put drilled and slotted rotors on my car yesterday. Found the parking brake shoes were froze in the rear rotors. After finally getting them off, the pad on the shoes had crumbled. Now I know why I couldn't get the parking brake to adjust. Went to NAPA and had to buy the whole setup, including all the hardware. Can't just buy the shoes. 85.00.

You can buy just the shoes only if you buy AC Delco parts.
I just had my brakes done and when we pulled off the rear rotors we found one of the parking brake shoes was cracked. So the shop ordered up a pair (they were only sold in pairs). But they cost $200 Canadian! ($172 US) So the price you paid was pretty good for the entire setup!
