Im going to be installing headers within the next couple of weeks. I figurerd i might as well change the plugs and wires while im at it. Any recommendations on what to use? Thanks guys
lots of guys here went to the NGK TR-55's.....I have the MSD wires just make sure you bend the boots if you go with the MSD's to keep them away from the headers
I went with the delco iridiums, I also understand that the newer gm wires are great......
the new GM wires look alot like the MSD wires and cheaper..I forgot about the iridiums....speaking of...I understand thats what the stock plugs are now from the factory or did I hear wrong??

You are correct. I just installed the GM Performance Wires and the Iridium plugs. The old platnum plugs called for a gap of .60 in, but the new Iridum plugs are .40. I did extensive research and double checked on the gap. Very nice wires and I was able to use the factory metal heat shelds on the boots too. I ordered them from Gene @ Fred Beans. The wires were $47.93 plus shipping and the plugs were $43.12 (for 8) plus shipping. The plugs are AC Delco "Professional" Iridium spark plugs. They are rated at 100,000 miles. Unless you race or you want to change plugs every 15K miles (on copper type plugs) I would go with the Iridium Plugs. I had to check the gap on the new plugs they all were .37 in. And the old ones were at .53 to .57. Most at .55 in. Due to seeing the old plug gap I think I would still check any plug at 50,000 miles anyways.
