Brakes On A 2000
The brakes rotors seem they are out around. When I'm coming to a stop the peddle rises up ands down. Being new to C5 is this normal?
If I have to buy brakes is there something special about brakes and rotors that I need to look for or ask for? Thanks for your help.EDMGUY

Its a common problem with c5's for the disc to get warped from heat. There are many aftermarket rotors that you can purchase from some of the vendors that support this site. Depending on your driving style I would upgrade my pads to HPS Strret pads and flush the brake lines when you do the brake job to get all of the old fluid out.

Could be pad material deposits also. Do 5-6 hard stops from 80-90 repeatedly to clean them. In all the racing of have done and turned rotors redhot to veiw in daylight never felt one warp.

I am willing to bet they are warped, they used crappy rotors on our cars, one hard stop and they go out of round. Mine shutter

I bought Hawk front and rear brakes and rotors that are sloted and drill.
They said it would be a all around better braking.He## I don't know about braking but the guy talk like he new what he was talking about.
