Has anyone experienced this before? I think I read a post a while back related to this but can't find any info now.
My 01 auto shifts fine everywhere except WOT. I've messed with the shift rpms but it seems to be getting worse now. I want to shift around 6200 but even with shift revs backed up to 5200 it still hits the rev limiter at WOT which is set at 6650.
I have a custom tune set up in a predator and shift pressure is set at +15%. Shifts are very firm but it just doesn't want to change at WOT. I have installed a set of 3:42 gears and as yank 2800 stall but all this was accounted for by tuner or they say?? I do have a cam and headers and a few other bolt ons but nothing extreme. About 369HP NA.
I know someone will tell me I need a transmission and I agree, even in the process of buying one but just don't want to give up on the one that is in it until i know it is done. Plus I don't want to have the same problem with a built tranny if it is a tuning problem. Thanks in advance. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks for the help. I did find something on here about that. It had a link to a table that you could type in the values and it would give you your shift mph for each gear. I did this and then input this into the tuner at 5 mph less for each shift point. Does it have to be that close to the actual shift time?? Also some of the info I found said it needed to meet both values mph as well as rpm. If this is so would the car not shift at the specified rpm as long as the mph was set lower than the speed at which you reach the desired rpm?? I will try this to see if it helps though. thanks again
