AL60E Died
The tranny on my wife's 97 DD went yesterday. It wouldn't shift into 3rd of 4th. 66K miles.
I called RPM and they gave me a good price on rebuilding it.
The problem is getting it out of the car
.
Since I have been unable to win a bid on e-bay
for the service manuals, can anyone give me an idea what's involved in removing it?
Also if the job is too dificult to do , does anyone know of a good shop in the Somerville/Flemgton area of New Jersey?
Thanks in advance

Thanks
I think I better get spell check or let someone else read my post first!
Thanks for the info Mike. I don't know if I want to attempt the removal after seeing your information.
I'll give ECS a call to see what they can do. The car is stock and the wife likes it that way. It's her car,so I'll let her decide.

I have the complet 4 book set of manuals for the 97...I can loan them to you if you pay for shipping (shouldn't be much) but I would like to have them back when you are done...
