Factory alarm problem
I have a problem with my factory alarm on my 99. Girlfriend and I went shopping the other day. When I get back to my car, I tried to start it and nothing happened. Battery not dead, lights work, but starter is locked out. Then I notice rear hatch won't open, windows won't work, factory radio won't work, and alarm will not reset. So there I sit. I am thinking this is all connected to the alarm. But it won't reset with remote. Remote will unlock the dorrs, but that's all. So I disconnect - battery cable. Wait a few min. Reconnect. Car starts, everything is fine. Take her home. shut car off for 15 min. Try to start, same thing. So I come home, and turn it off. Try to start without waiting, and it starts. But if it sits for 10 min. or so, it all locks out. Any ideas what might be going on???? Thanks

I dont understand the alarm part. Are you saying the alarm went off when you tried to start the car? And the unlock button on the remote had no effect on the alarm but did unlock the doors? Have you cleaned the pellet on the key with some alcohol? Tried another key? How old is your battery?
