you will need :
HUD enabled cluster (99 or newer)
try to get one that already has the HUD controls on it, (that way you will also have the elusive 11 wire harness).
HUD projector
dash bezel for HUD projector.
I paid a little over $300.00 for everything to do mine.

i knew i needed the cluster hud projector and the controls on the dash but wanted to make sure i dont need any other wiring other than the wiring going from the dash to the projector and the controls.also ive heard that if you install HUD that you need to change the winshield is that true?
thanx again,
rikk

Go here:
http://joshker99.home.comcast.net/hudinstall2.htm
Found this using the "search" above- HUD installs are discussed a lot on the forum - the search can usually bring the required result on things like this...as well as headers, intakes, tires etc...
Good luck!

Not true at all. My retrofitted HUD works very well with my pre-HUD 1998 windshield.

Where did you get everything at that price? I just went to
http://joshker99.home.comcast.net/hudinstall2.htm and it says GM price is $1,100
Did you go to a wrecking yard?
