What is the average cost for a Clutch change at your local shop/tuner; Labor only. Realize the part costs will be different depending on what type you opt for.
I guess you would want to combine that with a diff change. If I read right, you have to remove the same Tube/Diff assy for both. Is that right?
Yup, you gotta take half the car apart. I for one am not looking forward to this day to come on my car. But it will be interesting and give an excuse to mod some more things too some day.

What are you up to? You seem to sneak in some mods without telling anyone until its done. The way i see it, one doesnt need a clutch unless your modding more than the oem clutch can handle. im on to you.....
Let me tell you its not cheap I know Andy charges norht of 800 and my local dealer wants 1500. But of course they are full of it. If your are replacing your clutch put something thats worth the labor cost. Im on the same boat.

Actually you just drop the entire rear cradle down. The tq tube, tranny and rear diff all stay connected.
Be sure to do an alignment after you get this done as well. The reputable shops around here charge $500 +/- a little.

ummmmm maybe all in good time my friend
And thanks to all that have responded. Will likely do both at one time then
That is the best price on labor I have ever heard of. I did my own and wouldn't do it for 300.00
just had a 06 zo6 clutch put in and they did not have to remove the torque tube or dif from the car, the bill was right around 300. the shop guy is a friend of mine, he told me that the 06 z06 is worse that the c5 clutches and he had to take a little more apart to get it in.
BTW the 06 z06 clutch is great it holds like crazy and you cannot tell that it is not a c5 stock unit except that it ingages realy close to the floor (I don't even notice that anymore)
It cost me $600 for the labor. I had the Hurst shifter installed at the same time for no extra labor charge. Also, I have long tube headers that they had to contend with. I thought $600 was a fair price.

I would like to see how you replace clutch without pulling torque tube.

Dave, did Corey do your clutch? When it's time for a new one on my new vert, I think I will have him do mine. I had Shaun at Dynotex do my coupe. He worked around the headers. Dropped it off the previous evening and picked it up the next evening.
