W/ all my searches it comes out 50/50. Some say that 225cc or larger runners on heads are two big for a 346ci engine, others have shown great results w/ the 227-237cc reworked Ls6 243 casting heads. Some beleive that velocity is the key and if you go to large on the runners and don't have the cubes to back it, you'll lose bottom end or maybe some mid range.

I was thinking of getting heads soon, and wanted to go w/ a set of the ls6 heads. That heave been cnc'd and ported for more flow. Any opinions on this. Please refrain from suggesting a head setup for me, I have been looking into the different heads now for a while. So I know who's out there. I'm just trying to see what you guys think about running the Ls6 heads on a 346 w/ a cam similar to the G5X3.
Thanks
Joe

I did a 224/228 .581/.588 114+1 cam, ported LS6 heads with 227cc runners and Supermaxx headers/cats/x-pipe all at once. I honestly think I lost a little low-end torque, but that's just an SOTP guess. Unfortunately, I don't have a 'before' dyno run to compare the new setup to. I'm not disappointed though, because when I want to get on it, it pulls great from 2500+.
