DTE makes a differential strut brace for both auto and stick cars, however, I've never heard of anyone with an auto needing one. The autos don't seem to have as much wheel hop..
My point was that the auto doesn't seem to have the same level of problems as the stick as far as hop and taking out the trans and diff in out motion, which is what the brace is supposed to prevent.
you see them advertised more often for the manual tranny, but I got one insalled on my a4 AUTO - I figure its cheap insurance at $379.00, and since I was swapping t/c and carrier, it was smart to do it then.
