Need advise..... Automatic shifter change
I'm replacing the complete auto shifter ***. in my 97 C5. Seems like it should be a pretty straight forward trade out. Once the console is out just a few bolts and a clip on the linkage. Question? Does it matter where the shift lever is when you do the swap...Start with the old one in park and install the new one in park.Also any adjustments I need to be concerned about or procedures I need to watch out for. THANX.....

Finished....
I just completed the change out. Over all it went very smoothly. I used my service manuals to walk me through it and they had a few tips that helped me. Not a hard job and the new shift ***. works soooo good.
