well you can but then you need a wider rim., i have ronals 18"/19" set up for the street . I used my stock front rims which are 17x8.5 so a 275 tire is about as wide as you can go... you can use the stock rear wheels 18x9.5 and go with a 295 tire but honestly they are 100 bucks more a tire i went with the 17s and love them.. my friend put a set of 315 30 18s on his stock rear z06 rims at the track was ok, but driving home rubed the inner wheel well a few times.

I have a set of 17in crome zo6 wheels that I used, they already have the screws in them to screw your tires down.
Let me know if you might be interested

coming from a roadrace guy, so take it for what it's worth. A lot of us use C4 grand sport wheels for the track, they are 17x9.5 front and 17x11 rear and you can get them all day long on ebay for next to nothing and they fit a C5 just fine.

Why not pick up a set of 17x11 C4 GS rear wheels and you can use 315s easy or even 335 will fit on the wheel (not sure if it'll fit w/o rubbing)

note: ZR-1 & GS wheels are the same shape, but have different backspacing. The ZR-1 backspacing (36mm I THINK) will make the wheels stick out a bit, but the GS backspacing works fine (50mm). You can get the ZR-1 replica wheels with GS backspacing
