Anything I can check before tearing off the door panal and replacing the module. The right window won't work and the car is throwing codes for both door control modules?
Ron
You can pull back the accordian duct in the door jam just below the A pilar. You may find a pinch wire in there. This has been the case on several cars... it is rare that both modules would go at once. You can check power in, but you have to get to the modules..
Had a similar situation recently when the passenger side door on my "99" coupe went "dead" (no window/doorlock functions) , with the window in the "down" position!
I didn't have codes appearing in the DIC for both doors, but did have codes showing up for everything else! ( "Service Traction Control", "Check Tire Pressure Monitoring System", "Service Engine Soon", etc.)
About the only steps you can short of removing the door panel is to check the fuse panel on the inside the car for a blown fuse. I think it's #29 or #30. Check you owner's manual, it has them listed and identified by a picture.
My problem wound up being the wiring harness inside the door. It had come loose and the raising and lowering of the window had rubbed off the insulation causing it to ground out.
My 2001 had the same problem....Turns out it was the contacts in the connectors that pass through the accordian into the car....Just unplug, spray some cleaner and reconnect.
