12 CD Changer electrical current buzz noise
I've narrowed it down to never hearing this sound when the radio is playing nor when I put in a single CD (front of stereo)
It is not the alternator b/ I can hear it when the car is turned off. It seems to be more often after the car warms up. I noticed that the trunk can get pretty warm/hot ( I think this is normal?)
Anyone with this same problem or suggestions?
Thanks guys/gals,

Don't you just hate it when no one is responding!! Yep, I had a BOSE 12 disk player in my 98 (factory installed) and I installed one in my 02 Z06. Both worked flawlessly!
There are two connections in the passengers foot well where the 12 disk changer extension cable connects to the head unit. One is power and control and the other one is the CD player output. From that point it runs down the passengers side to the rear of the car and then over to the CD changer. I recommend finding those connectors and making sure that they are in good shape, not corroded and properly connected..
Then I would check the connections on the CD Changer. The CD changer in my Z06 does have one issue, just like yours, it does not like to be HOT!!
If it gets hot, it will start to get static and start fading out! I had the well packed with a car cover once and it overheated on a long trip.PM me with your e-mail address and I will send you some pictures of the connections in the passengers foot well. I do not believe that they hard wired. If they are, that is most likely your problem. Either, the signal wires are wired backwards or they have a poor connection.
