Bizarre "exotic" Corvette noises.

we always called them "bundle of snakes"
They work on mid-engined cars very well as we have the space.

I'm suprised somebody made them for a vette. I looked and just can't find enough space to route all the tubes and still keep them at 32".
They definetly change the sound of the exhaust.

VERY nice looking. I wonder how these stack up to the currently available long-tubes. Any Dyno redults??

And when you fellas at ATI are talking about 50% more is that 50% more then just a set of SS long tubes at around $800-$1000/pr or the entire LT and x-pipe setup at near $1400/pr as a base for comparison?
Us poor fellas gotta squeeze those pennies. That Cat-back made of Inconel would cost me an entire years sallery. (after taxes)

Seems your neighbors are pretty cool as well!....LOL
Here is a quick clip of my car thru LG Long tubes, Cats, and the exhaust exiting the tailpipe with my electric cut-outs open which simply act as a muffler by-pass, allowing the exhaust to "short circuit" so to speak, bypassing the mufflers and going directly out the tips. Basically the cut-out is a "Y" pipe I fabricated....when closed, the gases are forced only thru the stock Titanium Z06 cans which keep the car very stealthy, but when I chose to open the cut-out the exhaust can travel straight to the tail pipe tips although some of the exhaust will actually pass thru the mufflers due to a balance of pressure....the path of least restriction obviously being the one heading straight out the tips, but there will be some airflow still utilizing the muffler to escape as well.
Some of you may have already seen this vid in the post that was started describing the recent AFR headed 383 build-up I just finished....

Car definately has a unique sound....you can literally hear the exhaust velocity at WOT. Driving this car is a constant battle of inner turmoil and restraint because you just WANT to hear it scream!

Wow.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I fabricated a "Y" from mild steel (weldable obviously) with slip fit connectors that can tighten around the "Ti" muffler entrance which I cut and the "Ti" over the axle pipe, also cut, but which I retained for it's weight savings.
A picture tells a thousand words with this set-up....trust me....LOL
Also, make no mistake about the fact that this was VERY time consuming to fabricate....not for the typical do-it-yourselfer unless that person had welding ability and a lot of time. IMO however, the end results do justify the time invested....whisper quiet cruise when I'm in the mood for some conversation or a little solitude without exhaust drone, and of course when Im in the mood to play the cut-outs open just sound awesome at WOT. Whats cool is that I can cruise around with them open all the time if I chose and at idle and light throttle the car just sounds like I have a performance muffler on it....not horribly obnoxious by any means because the exhasut is still going thru Cats and having to travel the entire length of the system using the muffler almost as a resonator as the exhaust gases make their way out both exhaust tips at the rear of the car.
As I said guys...anyone willing to host the pics let me know...its just one of those situations much easier to understand when you actually see it.

I don't want to "hijack" Danny's 180 header thread (felt the vid clip and sound on my car at WOT was pertinent to this thread, unique, and worth sharing) so I am going to just provide a link here to a new thread either Chris or myself will start for those interested in the exhaust I fabricated utilizing the "Ti" Z06 cans and QTP electric cut-outs.
Here is the link to the new thread with a few pics...
